Hey! I'm Nina D.
Welcome to my teaching portfolio! I'm thrilled to make this connection with you.

Since childhood, my aspiration has always been to become a Special Education Teacher. My decision stems from my personal experience receiving Special Education services and forming impactful relationships with my teachers, which greatly influenced my career path. I am driven to impart a similar positive influence on my future students. Despite challenges, I maintained a strong work ethic, dedication, and leadership throughout high school, earning the R.A. Horn Academic Achievement Award in 2016. Recently, I proudly graduated from Wright State University with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and a minor in Psychology.

With a background in Marketing and Communications, my passion for Special Education grew during my role as a Special Education Paraprofessional in 2021. I am committed to making a tangible difference in this field, actively participating in the National Association of Special Education Teachers and obtaining certification as a Special Education Paraprofessional through the Council of Exceptional Children. I have worked closely with students in small groups, addressing diverse learning needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and multiple disabilities.

Beyond education, I am also the author of the children's book series, "ABCs of Heaven." Looking ahead, I am eager to pursue my Master’s degree in Special Education with a focus on Applied Behavioral Analysis. My ultimate goal is to become a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst, merging my classroom experiences with ABA Therapy to elevate student outcomes.

I hope you enjoy my portfolio and get to know me better as an Educator!

Much Love,

Nina D.
